Our school was first opened in 1878 for the education of children of all ages, becoming an infant school for children aged 4-7 years old in 1967. We are a successful school that also prides itself on its commitment to providing all pupils with a high-quality education, taking into account individual needs.
Chellaston Infant School has been at the heart of our community for over 140 years and we are proud of the ongoing success of our school. We pride ourselves on the strong links we have maintained with the different organisations in Chellaston and especially our pre-school community. Since September 2023, we have worked with our link school, Chellaston Juniors, and now work as one school with the same leadership team and governing body to ensure a sequenced and smooth transition for all our learners.
We only achieve this through close partnership with parents and carers and we look forward to working with you to ensure that your child’s time at our school is as positive, exciting and successful as it can be.
