RECEPTION ATTENDANCE

At Chellaston Infant School all our pupils are expected to have good attendance no matter what year group or age.

Each half term you will receive a Red, Amber or Green letter depending on your child’s attendance percentage.

Attendance is monitored daily and you will be contacted if your child is absent without a reason provided. Home visits are also conducted to establish pupil whereabouts and to ensure they are safe and well.

School has regular meetings and conversations with the EWO (Education Welfare Officer) who will contact parents if attendance is a concern and begin welfare proceedings.

As your child is starting Reception at Chellaston Infant School, school attendance is a priority to ensure your child gains the education they are entitled to.

We have an array of helpful resources and routines to help you and your child be in school on time. These can be found on our ‘Attendance at School and Absences’ page or please contact our Attendance and Admissions Officer – School Secretary, Miss Chloe Frearson by contacting the school office 01332700298 or c.frearson@chellastoni.derby.sch.uk.
